TL;DR
Apple Lake doesn't collect your personal data. We don't require accounts, we don't track your usage, and we don't share anything with third parties. The app works entirely on your Mac without sending data anywhere.

At Apple Lake, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost nothing) and how we handle it.

What We Don't Collect
Let's be clear about what Apple Lake does not do:
- No personal information: We don't collect your name, email, location, or any identifying information through the app.
- No usage analytics: We don't track how you use Apple Lake, what features you access, or how often you use the app.
- No telemetry: The app doesn't send crash reports, performance data, or diagnostic information automatically.
- No third-party trackers: We don't include any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking pixels.
- No cloud sync: Your settings and preferences stay on your Mac. We don't upload them anywhere.
- No account required: Apple Lake works without any sign-up or login.
Data Stored on Your Mac
Apple Lake stores the following locally on your Mac:
- Your preferences and settings
- Custom themes and layouts you create
- Notification history (stored locally only)
This data never leaves your computer. You can delete it entirely by removing Apple Lake from your Applications folder and deleting its preferences from ~/Library/Preferences.
Third Parties
Apple Lake doesn't share data with third parties. The only relevant third party is:
- Apple: The app is notarized by Apple. Apple may collect standard app notarization data as part of macOS security features.
Security
Since we don't collect personal data, there's very little to secure. However:
- The app is code-signed and notarized by Apple
- All preferences are stored locally with standard macOS protections
- No network connections are required for the app to function
Children's Privacy
Apple Lake doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or on our website. Your continued use of Apple Lake after changes means you accept the updated policy.
